The entire year of the Four Seasons of Leadership is an initiatory experience. The skills learned will be useful on their own, for many types of leadership, and specifically as a wilderness rite of passage guide. The Four Seasons of Leadership also serves as the first year of the two year Guide Training.
The Vision Fast is a modern day wilderness rite of passage. It engages one's entire being, requiring each participant to strongly claim their whole self. It is a ten-day journey of Nature, Spirit, and Community including three days and nights of fasting and solitude in wild nature plus follow-up support.
This facilitated, two-day event creates a strong container to help purge pent up emotions and support the ability for joy and gratitude to emerge.

Do you lead councils or talking circles and want to deepen the quality of circles you hold as well as your personal practice? The Advanced Training will focus on expanding your knowledge of forms, and how to use those forms in conjunction with the energy of the group to create a greater likelihood for "council magic" to occur. Participants will have multiple opportunities to lead and receive feedback. We'll pay particular attention to energetics and nuance, moving from "doing council" to practicing the "art of council". Council Facilitation Training I or equivalent is prerequisite for this course.
Part of what makes Cascadia Quest different from other rites of passage organizations is how much we support our participants in their "incorporation": that time following a vision fast or rite of passage when participants are working to weave the threads of their experience in the desert into the cloth of their daily lives.
You are invited to hear the ceremonial stories from the land as told by the adults who experienced them.
Come hear the epic stories of transformation and renewal that came from the land through the people who fasted alone for three days in the Steens Mountain Wilderness. This is a wonderful opportunity to get an embodied experience of our vision quest programs, learn what Cascadia Quest is all about, and to deepen existing relationships in the community.
Free and open to all. Invite your friends and family. Happening in Eugene, at the Unitarian Universalist Church on the corner of Chambers and 13th Ave.
See you there!
Tending Male Fire is a four day and three night wilderness retreat and ceremony for men only. We'll dive deeply into three critical aspects of male fire and healthy masculinity: Anger, Grief, and Power. In a strong, supportive circle of brothers, you'll experience the healthy release of anger; anger, which so often covers the softer emotions beneath. You’ll learn the tools of grief-tending and feel the relief of its release. Feeling freer with these weights off your shoulders, you’ll receive guidance and support to better know your power and its healthy manifestation in the world.

There are many approaches to recovery from dependency. Being outside with purpose is a powerful tool to add to any version of this self-help process. In the modern age, we have lost what it means to be connected to the Earth, ourselves, and our communities which has led to widespread behavioral and substance addiction. What if we were to invite the higher power of nature into our lives?
Growing with the Seasons: Supporting Personal and Collective Growth and Healing through Engagement with Nature, Ritual, Expressive Arts, and Community
This is a free, community event hosted by the nonprofit Cascadia Quest’s Council of Elders to support the Eugene community in preparing for natural disasters and other life-threatening emergencies.
Make a plan today to safeguard your home and family when an emergency occurs. The more prepared we can be, the more resiliency our neighborhoods and city will have when resources are strained.
How will you meet with your family if a disaster occurs when everyone is at work or school? What can you keep in your home to bolster your ability to survive during or after a disaster? What do you need in a "go-bag" in case you have to suddenly evacuate?
This workshop is taught by Randy Prince, the Executive Coordinator of Action Plan Eugene, which organizes block-level emergency preparedness groups in a cooperative effort to link Neighborhood Associations and the City of Eugene's Emergency Management Program.
This is a free event, but space is limited!

We will meet outdoors in a field given sun, or under a shelter given rain.
